Babyteeth Jewelry Shop
I founded and designed Babyteeth, a small jewelry project built around found shells and the idea of shells as the lost teeth of the sea.
I designed the visual identity, website, and creative system. The logo abstracts two teeth using forms inspired by Portuguese mosaic tile, and the typography combines restrained structure with calligraphic elements. Photography was art-directed to reference pseudoscientific shell catalogues, treating the objects as specimens rather than accessories.
The project was produced quickly, using much of Squarespace’s out-of-the-box functionality to optimize for speed to market. To ensure the site still felt authored and considered, I designed a lightweight illustration system and custom expressive typographic elements that allowed a standard template to read as bespoke.
The result is a restrained, coherent system that balances efficiency with craft, allowing a small project to feel intentional and complete.
